Those are very cool; what a great way to re-purpose a "mistake."

In jazz music I was taught there are no "wrong" notes, only poor choices. The trick, I was taught, was to make a poor choice sound good. That's the difference between the technical and the artistic.

This is a great example of a "wrong" note sounding good!

That’s so cool, never thought of it that way in music but it makes sense!

To add to erniet's spot-on comment--what we also do in improvisation if we play something that didn't work, we play something after it that makes it sound like it worked😉

Congratulations. When I finish painting and my palette has too much paint to waste, I dab paper on the palette till all the paint is absorbed . I call these my dab cards and use them as just that , cards to mail to folks. Like the paintings you just showed, it creates a beautiful piece of art.

You should make those into art-o-mat blocks Tinabeth. They need more artists. Click on the link to go to their site then check out the artist guidelines. You do t really make any money but it’s so satisfying and fun to participate!

So I got paint on my hand so I’m typing for my studio. I’m working on a painting for my brother. I’d much rather do dab cards. Lol

Once you’re in, you are in! The only things they don’t want are described in the artist guidelines at their website which is linked in my post. You can purchase a “starter” kit I forgot how much it is, send in your sample and then if they like it you can send off for the blocks. It’s $30 for 50 blocks and there is no deadline. You finish all 50 and send it back in the same box (you do pay for shipping it back, it cost me $17 priority mail Michigan to NC) after they get sold you get a check for $125. It’s just fun!

And after your first series you can send for blocks as often as you want and pretty much do what you want within the guidelines.

Sheesh...one more thing! They NEED art! There are 120 machines and counting with 300 artists participating at the moment.

Alan, I don't have that many subscribers either but I don't worry about it. You will too , it just takes time! And thanks again, you are very kind!
